Prater-Sterling’s Systems Division and environmental solution leader EarthFirst Technologies, Incorporated (OTCBB:EFTI) have jointly announced that the companies have partnered to develop specialized equipment that will allow carpet waste to be processed more efficiently. By utilizing EarthFirst’s solid waste remediation technology and Prater’s extensive experience in the size reduction field, this corporate agreement will focus its energies on the reduction of carpet waste and carpet scrap materials.
Once the carpet material is broken down using Prater-Sterling’s size reduction equipment, the waste will be further processed by a proprietary process developed by EarthFirst to produce renewable resources in the form of clean fuel and quality reusable ingredients. The application of the technology will be located in EarthFirst facilities to serve the industry as economical means for the disposal and reclamation of waste carpet materials.
“This particular waste stream poses a significant problem and requires special attention. Through the combined efforts of Prater’s professional design and EarthFirst’s operational team, it will allow EarthFirst to complete its system for remediation of waste carpet and immediately address prevailing customer demand for this solution,” stated Leon Toups, President and CEO EarthFirst. “We are pleased to be working with the Prater-Sterling team and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”
“Everyone at Prater-Sterling is excited and proud of the prospect of working with a forward-thinking company such as EarthFirst,” commented Prater-Sterling’s President & CEO, Scott Prater. “Being at the core of a process that will add so much value to the environment and economy is a rare opportunity. We are honored by and committed to our role in making this venture a success.”
