Garbage Genie receives innovation award at Americana

On March 27, 2003, Garbage Genie Canada of Beloeil, Quebec was awarded the Innovation Award at the "Recyc-Quebec New Products Showcase” at AMERICANA 2003, the Pan-American environmental technology trade fair held in Montreal on March 19 to March 21, 2003. The company won the award for its “wastebasket” product designed to increase disposal capacity, reduce the time and effort of emptying garbage and the amount of physical handling required.

At Americana, 14 companies presented a new product or service and visitors were invited to vote for the product they thought was the most innovative. The winner was announced at the end of the trade show.
