Editorial changes at Solid Waste & Recycling magazine and affiliate

Brad O’Brien, publisher of Solid Waste & Recycling magazine, is pleased to announce changes to the editorial staff of the publication.

Editor Connie Vitello is moving on from Solid Waste & Recycling to assume new and more senior responsibilities as sole Editor of affiliate publication HazMat Management, where she will work with Publisher Lynda Reilly.

Guy Crittenden, a founder of both magazines, continues his duties with Solid Waste & Recycling, now as sole Editor.

Both editors will continue to work with a distinguished group of regular contributors and freelancers who provide insightful analysis of current issues and regulations affecting their respective industries.

"It was time to make room for Connie to assume an expanded role in the company," says Editor Crittenden. "Her taking over the helm of our environmental protection magazine frees me to concentrate all my energy on one publication serving the Canadian waste management industry, of which I’m very fond and where I have many friends."

"I’ll miss my colleagues in the pollution abatement industry with whom I worked and interacted for 14 years," he adds. "But there is cross-over and some of my best writing contacts work as consultants in both fields."

With its recent redesign, Publisher Brad O’Brien and Editor Guy Crittenden have exciting plans for the magazine in 2004, including an even greater emphasis on practical case studies, equipment insights and cost-effective waste diversion strategies.
