Canadian Geographic visits The Eco-Kid in Nova Scotia

On September 20, 2003, TV show Canadian Geographic Kids (GC Kids) began shooting a segment about Justin Friesen, otherwise known as "The Eco-Kid," a young environmental activist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. CG Kids will feature Justin discussing his adventures and interests in the environment, as he explains Nova Scotia’s world-renowned composting program and provides a tour of Halifax’s large-scale composting facilities.

Justin’s passion for the environment led him to be selected by his peers to attend at the World Summit on Sustainable Development last year in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he spoke at the opening plenary.
CG Kids is created and is produced by Summerhill Entertainment Inc., in association with Canadian Geographic magazine.
