After an eleven year career in recycling, B.C.’s Andy Telfer is returning to work in the area of clean transportation advocacy and environmental protection.

Over June and July, Andy will phase into the executive director position at the Greenways Land Trust on Vancouver Island (www.greenwaystrust.ca). According to Telfer, the Discovery Coast Greenways Land Trust’s (GLT’s) mission is to enhance the community through the creation and management of greenways networks, based on principles of stream and land stewardship and development, within public and private property partnerships.

Says Telfer, “I’m grateful to those within the recycling industry for providing me with the opportunity to encourage waste reduction and industry excellence for so many years.

“The Greenways Land Trust does excellent work and I am proud to be chosen to lead their team. Thanks to all who supported me in making this move.”

The CWMA office moves to Victoria, so the former CWMA mail, email address and phone & fax number will be phased out.
