Alberta consultations on waste paint

Alberta Environment (AENV) is currently reviewing management practices and infrastructure related to managing waste paint in Alberta.

AENV has developed a proposal outlining the key elements of a provincial paint collection and management system, which will be used as the basis for discussion and consultation with stakeholders to help develop the formal program. Download the invitation letter and sign-up form here:

Five consultation meetings are scheduled to be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the following dates & locations:

Wednesday, March 22, 2006 Calgary

Thursday, March 23, 2006 Lethbridge

Thursday, March 30, 2006 – Grande Prairie

Friday, March 31, 2006 Athabasca

Tuesday, April 4, 2006 Edmonton

After you sign up, a package will be sent to you with further meeting details, including a copy of the paint program proposal.

NOTE: Each meeting must have at least ten registrants in order to take place. If a meeting has fewer than ten people registered by the deadline, AENV will ask those people to either attend an alternate meeting, or their feedback could be incorporated through telephone interviews or written responses to the proposal.
