Electronics recycler doubles facility size

Saint-Eustache, Quebec-based Info Liquidation Recycle Inc. has moved to a space twice the size of its original location.

After more than 10 years in it old location, owner Eric Després has chosen to relocate his company a few streets away in the same industrial park. The move to a more spacious premise was inevitable given the company’s growth, Després said.

“We’re a long way from my first 300-square-foot warehouse 14 years ago, where I worked alone and had to use a generator to heat my small local in the winter. The acquisition of this new warehouse, which is more modern and twice as large, will allow us to double our workforce and reach new goals,” he said.

The new facility will help the electronics recycler build better relationships with customers, he added.

Businesses are increasingly aware of the importance of recycling their obsolete computer and electronic equipment, Després said.

Founded in 2007, the company specializes in the recovery and recycling of computer and electronic equipment. According to its website, it handles CRT screens, LCD monitors and computer equipment, as well as batteries and power supplies, telecommunications equipment, printed circuits and cabling. It will pick up equipment for free.

It also offers destruction certificates free of charge on request, for hard drives or any other material that may contain sensitive data. Datais destroyed using software that meets the standards of the RCMP, NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense.
