Toronto offering grants for waste reduction ideas

TORONTO – Live Green Toronto, in partnership with Solid Waste Management Services, is funding a second round of the City of Toronto’s Waste Reduction Community Grants program.

Grants of up to $25,000 are available to support innovative Toronto-based projects that reduce residential waste and increase participation in the City’s waste diversion programs.

  • initiatives that support reuse and reduction;
  • waste education and engagement initiatives; and/or
  • other initiatives that align with the City’s Long Term Waste Management Strategy such as the repairing, exchanging, swapping and sharing of goods.
