Li-Cycle hosting battery recycling summit
Li-Cycle will be bringing together battery recycling industry and raw material experts, along with government representatives, for its inaugural Battery Recycling Day. The event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6, 2021, will run from 1:00–3:00 p.m. EST via Zoom and YouTube live.
This year’s theme, Battery Recycling Day: What Does the Future Hold?, will include the company’s executive team leading fireside chats with industry stakeholders who represent a range of businesses and entities operating in the battery recycling space. These will include General Motors, SES, Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, Traxxys, Arrival, and Li-Metal. They will be joined by New York State Senator Jeremy Cooney and Town of Greece Supervisor Bill Reilich.
Viewers are invited to join the discussion where speakers will dissect supply chain trends and the EV revolution in a battery recycling context.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Recycling batteries in the transportation sector
- Sustainable Raw Materials: Supply and demand of critical materials
- Next-Generation Batteries: Solid-state batteries and recyclability.
- Environmental and Community Impact.
The event is open to all and will be live-streamed on Li-Cycle’s YouTube channel.
