Portuguese company buys Strongco

PORTO, Portugal – Nors, S.A. has completed the acquisition of Strongco Corporation. Strongco sells, rents and services equipment used in diverse sectors such as construction, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, utilities, municipalities, waste management and forestry. It has approximately 500 employees serving customers from 26 branches in Canada.

The combined entities now share a global footprint that spans over 17 countries on four continents.

This strategic acquisition will strengthen Strongco’s presence in the marketplace and position them to provide greater support to our customers across Canada.

Strongco has also appointed Oliver Nachevski president and CEO. Nachevski will provide strategic operational and financial leadership to Strongco’s senior executive team and will be responsible for modelling the company culture and values to be in line with those of the Nors Group.

Nachevski joined Strongco in 1996, and in that time he has made a significant impact on many facets of the business, from finance and credit to crane operations and construction equipment. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and has held many titles, including most recently vice-president and COO.

Strongco represents equipment manufacturers with globally recognized brands, including Volvo Construction Equipment, Case Construction, Sennebogen, Manitowoc Crane, including National and Grove, Fassi, Konecranes, Allied Construction, and ESCO.
